The South Central Unicorn Users' Group will hold its' annual conference in October 22-23 in Beaumont, TX at the Beaumont Holiday Inn Plaza.
SCUUG is now welcoming proposals for user presentations.
The deadline for proposals is has not yet been set.
Suggestions on desired topics are also welcomed.
Submit proposals by e-mail to the SCUUG officers at conf-local@scuug.us . Please include the following information in your proposal:
-- Name, affiliation, and contact information for each presenter for the session
-- Tentative title and a short description or abstract of your presentation or session
We welcome proposals for sessions on any aspect of using and managing Symphony / Unicorn systems, and even broader issues related to information technology in libraries.
Additionally, the officers are soliciting volunteers to moderate round-table styled sharing sessions on various broad Unicorn topics, including:
-- System Administration/UNIX
-- System Administration/Windows
-- API
-- Circulation
-- Cataloging/Technical Services
-- Serials
-- Acquisitions
-- OPAC
We are also interested in your suggestions for preconference sessions. Possibilities exist for full-day or half-day sessions. Send your suggestions to the address given above for presentations.
Whether you are willing to present (or even have an idea for something you would like to see), are willing to volunteer to moderate sharing sessions, or have preconference suggestions, the officers would appreciate an email to conf-local@scuug.us at your earliest convenience.
